2012.06.29-30 - 07.01, - the third event of The Travel of Transhumance took place with the travel to the mountain summer pastures from Patarico to Cardito. Download the programme (PDF 326 KB). On June the 29th 04.00 p.m. in Amatrice, at the National Park Gran Sasso & Laga Mountain “Polo Agroalimentare” building, took place a public conference on “The Shepherd’s World” with the participation of professor Roberto Rubino from ANFoSC, the writer Marzia Verona, the international photographer Dragos Lumpan and the director Minobu Wakiyama, download the conference programme in Italian language (PDF 706 Kb). 2012.03.26 - The Cultural Association “Il Viaggio della Transumanza” (The Travel of Transhumance) was founded. Among the founding members are the three farms promoter of the event: Antonio Di Marco, Antonio Aureli e Stefania Di Giammarco. The Association is no-profit and aims only at social goals thanks to the support and the management of: cultural activities, territorial enhancement, management of tourist events of social & cultural knowledge, organisation of fairs and events linked to the discovery of shepherd’s and farmer’s local traditions, promotion of farming and cattle-rising and of local craftsmanship linked to the shepherd’s world, territorial and environment preservation with specific reference to the traditional ways of production and management of farming, cattle rising and wood maintenance and every other activity to valorise through tourism the cultural and productive typical world of the Central Apennine. Among the activities that the Association will carry out with specific engagement will be from now onward the management of the annual event “The Travel of Transhumance”.

2011.10.26 – 10.30 a.m. in Amatrice, at the National Park Gran Sasso & Laga Mountain Polo Agroalimentare building, took place a meeting with the breeders-cheese-makers of the territory with the objective to valorise and enhance typical cheese products of Laga and Central Appennines Mountains. At the meeting participated 19 cheese-makers which presented their products and confronted them during a common panel test with the help of Prof. Roberto Rubino of ANFOSC (Italian National Association for the Protection and Valorisation of Cheese made with milk of free-grazing animals) and of Dr. Giacomo Ficco researcher of CRA-Montelibretti. 2012.09.22 – at 05.47 pm the film on the First Travel of Transhumance realised by the Director Olivella Foresta was broadcasted on the RAI national third channel on the program Geo&Geo. See the video on streaming (in Italian language).

2011.10.09, Saturday , - 06.00 p.m. in Amatrice, at the National Park Gran Sasso & Laga Mountain Polo Agroalimentare building, took place a public information meeting on The Travel of Transhumance.

2011.08.06 - in Retrosi, a Village of Amatrice, in the “Trasanna” centre, took place a thanksgiving dinner for all those helped the organisation of the first event. During the evening a presentation of the event was illustrated.
